I was blown away by Indochine. I have always wanted to go - it is a NYC icon. It is now my favorite NYC restaurant. The food was amazing- such great flavors. We had the beef salad, rock shrimp appetizer, sautéed rice with Shrimp and the Salmon. All were DEVINE. The service was also top notch. They were attentive, friendly and beautiful. I felt transported to the 80s and 90s era of glam and opulence. Indochine is now quite possibly my favorite NYC restaurant.

Surprisingly easy to get a last minute reservation on a Friday night. My friend and I were looking for something nice in that area. The atmosphere is very nice and classy-- people were well dressed and it was crowded. The first waitress who came to our table told us almost everything on the menu was gluten free and dairy free other than the crab cakes and the shaking beef. But when I went to order the ribs and confirm with a second waitress, she said it wasn't gluten free. They still had a lot of gluten and dairy free options though. My friend and I split 2 appetizers and one main. We got the Asian kale salad and the grilled eggplant to start. Both were good. Solid but nothing special. Then I got the Vietnamese barbequed chicken which was a surprisingly large generous portion. I found the chimichurri sauce on the side to be too spicy so I didn't put it on the chicken which left the chicken a little bland. It was solidly good but nothing I tried really stood out for me for the prices we paid. If I went back, I would want to try the duck, which they are apparently known for

Not gonna lie...I was apprehensive when I made reservations based on some reviews...but our time at Indochine was devine!! We had a few bevy's and a couple appetizers and entrees and loved all of it!! Are the tables too close together? Sure, but it's New York. It's expected. Had the Indochine martini and was quite tasty. My partner enjoyed his mezcal cocktail as well. The Kale salad was dressed perfectly, the "ravioli" was basically rolls and were delicious. Shaking beef was cooked perfectly and delicious. The salmon? Amazing! This place definitely lived up to the reputation for me! Our first server was a bit uptight but traded off to Erin who was great. Can't wait to go back!

The food is absolutely amazing and the service is great too. Although the restaurant has too many tables too close together, so it's really loud. Luckily they have a beautiful patio area that was still open and they were nice enough to move us outside. I will definitely be back for the spicy shrimp, shaking beef, and fillet of Sole entrées; also the coconut crème brûlée and lemon tart were both amazing.

It's no joke this place has been an institution for so many years! Come with a group and try a bunch of stuff. Top picks: Drinks - indochine or cucumber martini Apps - beef salad, summer rolls or crab cakes. Skip the ribs! Mains - the duck is a MUST get! The sea bass and beef were also good, skip the shrimp Desserts - chocolate mousse all the way
